Introducing KILLINEY BARK IN THE PARK, a Killiney borough first!

In this celebration of our fabulous furry-friends we have a jam-packed day of pawsome activities for dogs and humans to enjoy together. Whether you have your own pet to bring along or you are just mad about dogs, this is an event for you.

Marvel at canine speed, intelligence and agility as you watch our Sheepdog Trials demonstrations by award winners Denis Birchall and his dog Tweed. Enter the Killiney Bark In The Park Dog Show and compete for the coveted title of “Killineys Poshest Pooch”. Gather round and enjoy storytelling with award winning children’s book author EJ Leeson. And develop your creativity and crafting skills at our Knitting Workshop where you will learn from local textile artists, Sheep Thrills. For hungry tummies our Food Emporium will cater to all tastes with delicious hot food from our all-day Bark-B-Q, a mouth-watering array of homemade cakes, confectionaries, & savoury delights, plus teas, coffees and chats galore! With pet health checks, face painting, pet pawtrait art competition, music & more…simply put, this is a community event that is not to be missed!

So join us at KILLINEY BARK IN THE PARK for a fun family-friendly day out, where tails will wag, faces will smile and where passion for pooches will reign supreme!

Dog Show Competition Information

Be utterly charmed as our four-legged friends strut their stuff in front of judges, adoring family, friends and fellow pooches. Prizes in each competition will be awarded across three categories; “Best Behaved”, “Most Fetching” & “Wildest Wag”, with a special additional prize for those pets and owners who most resemble each other!

Many paws make light work!! If you don’t have a pet, worry not. In the true spirit of community those who do have a dog are encouraged to invite those who don’t to assist them in proudly parading their pawtastic pooches.
