We are delighted that Killiney Village will be part of the DLR Summer of Heritage Events.
Development of Killiney, as we see it now, began after the granting of the lands to the Talbot de Malahide family in 1200 who enclosed the area as personal hunting grounds. And did you know that, in modern times, until the 1960s, the area was known for its herds of dairy cattle?
This walk around Killiney Village traces the rich history associated with the area and how it has changed through the centuries.
Alice Cullen, supported by Mary Holohan, Mark Heaton and Michael McShane will host three historical walks in the Killiney area.
